To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including tax reporting, accounting requirements, and responses to lawful enforcement requests.
4. Legal Bases for Processing Your Information
Where data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply to our processing of your personal information, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract — processing your orders, managing your account, and fulfilling our obligations to you as a customer.
Legitimate interests — operating and improving our business, preventing fraud, analyzing website performance, and communicating with existing customers about relevant products and services, provided these interests are not overridden by your data protection rights.
Legal obligation — complying with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and government enforcement requests.
Consent — where we rely on your consent for specific processing activities such as certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. How We Share Your Information
Ocean Liquidation does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers and business partners: We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our business, including website hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, email and communication service providers, analytics platforms, freight carriers and logistics companies, and customer support tools. These providers only receive the minimum personal information necessary to perform their services on our behalf and are required to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws.
Professional advisers: We may share information with our accountants, legal advisers, auditors, and business consultants where reasonably necessary for the operation and compliance of our business.
Legal and regulatory authorities: We may disclose your personal information when required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or government authority, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of our customers or others.
Business transfers: In the event that Ocean Liquidation is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or restructuring of our business, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if such a transfer occurs and a different privacy policy becomes applicable to your data.
